Work Offline message in Outlook Express
I'm having trouble with Outlook Express. I was
receiving Work Offline messages when browsing with IE 6.0.
Also, anything I would load on the desktop , ie a stock
ticker, that has settings to auto update, doesn't work
because the software doesn't think I'm connected to the
internet. Additionally, whenever I start Outlook Express,
I get the Work Offline message. I was refered to two sites
that recommended changing two registry entries. I made
these changes and the IE works fine, as does the auto
update, in this case the stock ticker.
However, every time I load Outlook Express, it changes the
registry item LoadSENS back to the "Yes" setting from
the "auto" setting as was recommended on the two sites. Why is OE over riding this registry change and how can I get the change to hold?
Anyone???

I'm not sure this applies to your problem because it sounds so simple, but when I use outlook express and I get work offline alert? It is asking you if you want to work offline or go on line.
In outlook express go to file>work offline at the bottom and uncheck it. I think when you choose offline as a setting in outlook express it then sets it in the register.
Let me know if this works.

Thanks for your response, but I'm way past that. I've done the delete history files, cookies, and temp files. Tried changing the security levels. Theres something inside of Outlook Express thats changing this setting, but noone has been able to figure it out.
But thanks for your input.
