XP Backup Utility

I'd like to install the XP Backup utility but did not receive an installation CD with my Inspiron computer. Is it hiding somewhere in my computer? Thanks for any suggestions.

I know for a fact the Backup Utility was not installed on my computer, and since Dell did not provide a system CD I am trying to figure out how to obtain a copy. I can find many places that instruct you how to install that software using a system CD. Without that it's not a simple matter.

Thanks for your suggestion. Unfortunately the Backup Utility is not a part of the standard installation so it is not on my machine. Dell provided no System CD with my machine so I am struggling to find a way to download the Backup Utility.

Any other suggestions?

not understanding what utility your looking for, But if you know it is on your computer go to start--than to search--than search files and folders-- this will tell you were it is located.

XP backup is not installed by default in XP home edition. You will have to borrow a
XP home edition CD to install NT Backup.

If you are talking about the restore to factory setup the way you got the computer? the one you reboot to dell bluebar and hit ctrl/F11 to reinstall system, this can only be put on at dell

The backup utility is not automatically put on the computer if you are using XP Home.  You can email or call Dell and request the XP disc.
