I re-read your message and I guess I understand now what your taking about. When I removed the 2 files in the Start> Right Click>Open>Programs>Startup> and pu them on the desktop. And did everything else you mentioned and restarted the computer. Now my system tray is filled with about every thing I have on the computer.
So now I had to go into MSconfig and reconfigure everything back to where it was before as everything was checked off to start when the computer did. I unchecked everything but the essentials. Then restarted the computer so now it was back as before. So now I still had the two files that you had me move onto the desctop from the Startup folder. So now I took and slid them back into through the start button and back into the Start folder then erased them. One was a cameo viewr and the other I really did not knowwhat that was but there long gone.
Everything is not as before but again ask what does that have to do with a Langauge File Error?????

Chris,
How does removing some items in my start area have anything to do with a Error or opening a langauge file?
Also Cant I just right click on my items above my start button and just remove them?
I have always had basically the same programs above the start button for quite some time and it never seemed to affect anything.
My system is a Dimension 8200 with 40 gig hd and 720 rdram I have the XP home.
TIA

Items running in the background can conflict with software. So I was just starting with basic troubleshooting.
