XP Media Center Error on Xbox 360 extender setup

I recently got a Xbox 360 and want to connect my XP Media Center PC with it so I can watch recorded shows and movies through it.  When I try to setup the extender software from http:www.xbox.com/en-US/pcsetup at step 2, I get this error: "Set up error.  There is a problem with the installation of Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005.  Uninstall the update to Media Center Edition 2005 and then re-install the update from the windows update website then run Media Center Extender setup again.  I've tried a bunch of things but none seem to work.  Any HELP?

Checked Media Center version under settings => General => About Media Center => Software version and it says

Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005

Version: 5.1.2715.2883 (xpsp(wmbla).060409-2023

Update Rollup 2

However, noticed when Help and Support Center software is running the banner indicates Windows XP media Center Edition 2004. 

Am I missing a patch or update?
