XP Pro: Taskbar moves to 2nd monitor
Hi,
I have two monitors hooked up to my Dell Precision 360 running XP pro. Occassionally, when I boot up, the task bar appears on the bottom of monitor 2. I have the task bar locked on monitor 1. The resolution on monitor 1 also changes to 800x600. Once I reboot the resolution adjusts back to my original configuration but the task bar still sits on the 2nd monitor. Of course, I can unlock the task bar and move the taskbar back to monitor 1. I find this behavior peculiar. Does anybody know what is going on?

I am not sure which video drivers u r using nor the video adapter settings or the card [in future pls post such vital information]
Assuming u have a dual head NVIDIA card do the following,
if you download the latest one from nvidia.com it is very streamlined and works perfectly.
I have not tested the drivers put out my microsoft since their windows update claims nvidia drivers to be old and asks u to update from their site [not recommended].

thanks for the info. I didn't even think to check driver updates. At any rate, I'm using the nvidia quadro 280 NVS. I'll try installing the latest version. They just released one on April 1, 2004. You guys rock.
