My daughter is away at college and has XP Home Edition on her Dell.  She is trying to acdess Power Point, but there's no icon.  What dose she have to do to bring the icon up?

None of the MS application icons are shown except Word.

flparker,

My question still stands, then, for Word can be installed as a part of the Works Suite.

flparker,

If she goes to Start|All Programs she should be able to launch PowerPoint from its listing there if it is installed on her computer. PowerPoint is a part of Microsoft Office. Does her computer have Office installed?

Or she could get OpenOffice, which has a freeware equivalent of Powerpoint (and which can read and create Powerpoint compatible presentations).

If she just wants to look at a powerpoint presentation rather than create one, she could get the powerpoint viewer from

http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/officeupdate/CD010225551033.aspx

Otherwise it looks as if she would need to buy Office or Powerpoint stand alone software.
