XP boots C:\WINDOWS\System32
I have a brand new 8300 and the last week the C:\WINDOWS\System32 folder opens on my desktop at startup. I haven't been able to find out the cause and don't know how to stop it.
I'm a little suspicios concerning Roxio software as I some years ago hade a similar problem with Adaptec software causing the Program folder to open in the same way. The cause that time was an old DOS based routine using the Program Files folder with th name progra¨1 in the registry.
I don't know what to do this time. I have made some system restores to get rid of the problem but it comes back quite soon.
Greetings
Hans
