What I do on those situations, I delete them if it's an .exe file that I don't know I delete it.
I google that and nothing important came up.

It looks like one of the files included in UMAX scanner drivers..
 
 
On a side note; IMO "just deleting" executable files you don't recognize, especially from the Windows directory, is really poor advice.

TY...  I did try to reinstall my flatbed scanner after I reloaded Windows XP SP2 eariler this year but it didn't work...  SimpleSCSI errors or something like that (been awhile)...
 
I agree, I don't like to delete unknown files, just because...  Thanks again..

A safer alternative to deleting, would be to rename the file and see if you run into any problems.  After you have renamed it for a couple of weeks, you would then feel safe to delete it.
