XPS A2010 and Windows 7 (PCI simple communications controller)

I just upgraded my computer to windows 7 professional 32 bit and everything works fine, I have yet to find anything not working.  Yet when I go to Device Manager I have the yellow caution by the PCI simple communications controller.  I let it attempt to look for a driver and it can't find one and then tells me to go to the manufacturer of the device and see if they have one.

The problem is I don't know what the device is.  Is there anyway to tell from the device manger?

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same issue after upgrading to Win7.  My A2010 seems to be functioning correctly but still get a PCI simple communications controller error in device manager.  I cannot find a driver for it even using the system drivers cd.

SOLUTION:

-DOWNLOAD proper Vista Driver

-Go to file > right click > properties > compatibility > Run as WIndows Vista SP2

-Make sure checkbox at bottom claiming "Run as Administrator"  is checked

-Click Apply

-Click OK

-Run driver as usual

Good luck!!

Fix: install "Intel Management Engine Interface" (R176601.EXE) - be sure to set Properties > Compatiblity mode to Vista SP2 and to run as Administrator.
