XPS Gen4 BIOS support for >4GB memory remapping?
How can I get me XPS Gen 4 under Windows XP x64 to see >3GB RAM? I have 4GB installed, and the BIOS shows this, but my devices do not remap to higher address space. Why? There is no BIOS setting for this, although the chipset (intel 925x) supports this.

I have read in many forums that even people with the 32 bit operating system can do a memory remap. I also understand the situation where the operating system reserves a portion of the memory for other tasks, however, with my new graphics card and sound card I would like to remap my memory so that it can read all 4GB. Also, despite the consideration that the operating system might be sectioning off my 4th GB to run vista applications needing more of a graphics card and such, I have a utility that is showing Vista using 1.5 GB of the 3GB that it is currently reading. I doubt that this means that Vista is using 2.5GB of my 4GB. (1.5GB + 1GB reserved) I would like to have this feature in my BIOS so that I can do this for I spent an extra $270 to get 4GB. I was hoping it was in the lastest BIOS update for the system, but it was not.

The XPS410 seems to meet all requirements except the BIOS option. Is this planned for a future BIOS upgrade or are we forever limited to 3GB?
