XPS Studio 1340 Can Not Add Programs. Not Happy with Dell.
I've had this computer for 4 months and am really annoyed. I figure this has to be an operating system problem but who knows. I hate to do a total OS reload. I can't add any new programs without getting the dreaded blue screen. If I do a System Restore all is fine but I'd like to add some programs. For example, can't download MS Office or even a recent Service Pack update from MS (KB951847). Any ideas? I'm frustrated.

Charliemcc,
Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.
What does the blue screen error read when you try to install a program?

Go to your C:\Windows\Minidump folder, zip up all the .dmp files in there, then send me your email address in "Freinds Request" I will reply to this, then reply to me with the zipped dump files attached, I will attempt to find your problem. Click on my member name, then click "add to freinds" , this will pop up a freinds request email box, be sure to identify yourself in the message body.
