We know you have Windows XP since you posted here, but we can't know what model computer unless you post it. Desktop or Laptop? Makes a big difference. If desktop, try a different keyboard. If it's a laptop, you might need to replace the keyboard. Any other keys acting oddly? Anything stuck in the keyboard--crumbs, dust, etc?

One more note.  I just noticed that the backspace key is completely acting as another Delete button.  It deletes files, characters, etc.  Is there a way to get it back to acting as a backspace instead of Delete?

Sorry about leaving out some of my information.  I am using a Dell Precision laptop (only 2 weeks old) plugged into a docking station.  When using the laptop keyboard directly, it works correctly.  When the plug-in keyboard (Microsoft Natural Keyboard 1.0A) is moved to another computer, it works correctly.  When replacing the keyboard with another one, the same problem occurs.  That's why I considered it to not be the keyboard but some type of setting between the keyboard and this computer.

No other keys appear to be acting up and the keyboard is very clean.

Thanks in advance
