I have a party at home that is looking up porn and I want it blocked from even getting to those sites. I have a young person at home and do not want that to come up while he is using the computer. My computer is 4 years old and I forgot how to do that. Thanks for any help.
Reboot your computer, hit F2 to enter bios, and set a bootup password which you don't give to the person. Then they cannot use the computer. Or, you can hookup to a high speed connection via a router and prohibit the computer from accessing the internet during hours when you're not around.
I find that telling a person that the computer will be taken away works wonders.
I have the same problem the answers here are absolutely worthless.windows family is also useless. I am regretting buying a dell. Also just signing into this site was beyond ridiculous
Blocking involves leaving illegal websites online but making access more difficult. Access is always still possible, regardless of the blocking technology used. By contrast, deletion or take-down of an illegal website involves removing it from the Internet and making access impossible.
