chkdsk does not run on reboot,

I have two brand dell laptops. one is a dell duo and one is a N5010. on both brand new units i can not get chkdsk to run. i right click on properties, tools then set chkdsk to run on reboot. i reboot the unit and it says canceled. i have fully pachted windows 7. i tried the patch from microsoft and it tells me it not meant to run on my computer. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/975778

I did a google search and tried all the fixes and still does not work.

Lonk,

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.

1.Open the "Computer" window

2.Right-click on the drive in question

3.Select the "Tools" tab

4.In the Error-checking area, click .

You may also need to be logged in as the Adminstrator to run chckdsk.

Thanks Jesse for the reply however if you read my post i already tried that. and hince the issues. it seems that chckdsk will not run. it will run if i remove the fix now and let it run but that really does not do anything. I want need it to run on reboot so it can fix issues. I need to get this fixed now so if i have issues i can use it.
