control z doesnt work in photoshop

Well, that's a prime symptom of an illegal copy of Photoshop CS. If, in fact, you have a properly registered and activated version, you should reset the keyboard shortcuts in preferences. If that doesn't work update your keyboard drivers, especially if you have a Logitech keyboard. If the copy is illegal you're stuck, There is no fix other than buying a legitimate copy.

ive never had this problem with any other computer/notebook

it has only occured on this one. the control functions worked on the older lattitude class laptops and i believe this is a problem w/ the keyset
