Hello
This fix may sound strange, but it fixed my probelm which sounds exactly like yours,
Open Internet Explorer
Go to Tools
Go to Internet Options
Go to the advanced tax
Uncheck the "Enable third party broweser extensions.
Let me know if this fixes yoru problem

In addition, I constantly get the error message "Windows Explorer has encountered an error and needs to close." I have had these problems for months now and have researched everywhere online with no luck. Do I have a virus? Is there something else I can try?

Hi, thanks very much for your time. But I did this and restarted-same problem. Any other ideas?
