finding cleared history and cookies

I have a son who is online very much. He is using windows 98 with internet explorer. When i check to see where he has been it is always cleared. Is there any way to find out where he has been. Is there a program I can install that will track him without him knowing. Thanks. Concerned parent.

Do a search on Google for Internet Tracking Software and you will receive a variety of sites that offer such software.

Cache files

Browsers also make temporary copies of Web pages, known as cache files, and store them on your computer. This helps the browser to load recently viewed pages much more quickly than if it had to download them all over again every time you visit a site.

Depending on which version you use, Microsoft Internet Explorer allows users to click on either Tools or View. Next, select Internet Options and click on General and then Settings. Finally, click on View Files to see a list of all the cached Web pages on your computer. You can double-click on any file name to view it. Hope this helps you.
