I'm using Acronis "True Image".  Not having any issues with it and it saved my rear one time as I had to use it to restore my C drive.

I haven't used Norton Ghost so i can't comment on it, except to say I "used" to use Norton products but not anymore after they became "bloatware".

i use ghost daily. I love it.

I read a quite in-depth comparison the other day and there are some differences,
but the general conclusion was they perform about the same, as well, etc.
Acronis is a bit more user-friendly / intuitive and was preferred for that reason.
I would let the price decide...

I do not know how techie you are, but almost every Linux distro comes with DD,
Disk Dupe. That is a very thorough disk imaging program, and free...
No GUI, but very good - and free.

If you have a Nvidia Nforce 4 motherboard (XPS600, 700?) you'll want to use Acronis.  The Ghost 10 recovery CD won't see your SATA hard drives.  A real bummer when you go to restore.

An advantage to Acronis is that you create your own recovery CD.  So Acronis can issue updates for new hardware drivers and you'll have an updated recovery CD.  With Ghost you're stuck until Symantec issues a new release.  Which you have to pay for.

I am currently using Acronis True Image. It's easy to use and works well. I had used Ghost a while back and never had problems with that either.
