how to open a wps file

wps is a Microsoft Works file.  MS Word should allow importing some versions of Microsoft Works files.  Open Word then click on File then Open and check the file types dropdown menu.  You should have listings for various Works types.  If not, check the Microsoft Office site for and import filter updates.
