What Internet browser are you using to download the Macromedia Flash Player?
If you are using Internet Explorer then there should be a golden info bar just below the address bar in Internet Explorer web browser with a blue shield with a white question mark icon and message to the right that says: This site might require the following Active X control: "Macromedia Flash Player 8 from Macromedia, Inc". Click to install... x . This appears when you click on the Download Now button on top of Macromedia Flash Player Download Center
Windows web page. If this info bar message appears then click on it and follow the instructions on the screen to install the Active X control. After the Active X control is installed then you can download the Macromedia Flash Player.
I think it the golden info bar should appear at the top in other Internet browsers. Try to find this golden info bar and click on it.
Do you see this golden info bar with a blue shield with a white question mark icon?
