Hard to tell without knowing exactly what the model number, so we can look it up and if the CompUSA device really needs drivers to work. 

 

Does CompUSA have any additonal info or instructions?

the support site is http://fmi.compusa.com. when i try to go to the site it says it cant be found. its Ferris Marketing if that helps any.

Is copmusa the maker of your hardware or only the suplier? Does your card reader has a name or code to identify it?

ll try installing it using winxp. it should auto-detect it and install the drivers. plug and  play worked great guys, thanks for your help.
