installing programs to every user on the computer

I have an Inspiron 6000 with Media Center Edition. I just got a new digital camera and i tried to install my Digital Camera Software, and it only installed on ONE username. It worked on my family's user name, but it wouldn't work on mine. I clicked on the icon (on my user name) and it said Zoombrowser.exe could not be found. So i clicked Browse. I went to my C drive then to Program Files and Clicked the Canon folder. It then said it was not accessible. I don't understand why it won't work on my user name. Is there a setting I can change on my computer or what, b/c it is doing it to all the programs i have installed on my laptop. Please help. It is appreciated.

Usually there is a choice when you are installing new software, to choose whether to install for the current user or all users. Be sure you are installing with admin rights on the account you are logged into.

If you are installing software while logged in a limited account, you will not get the choice to install for all users.

You will have to install the software for all users by logging on to each account and install from there.

No you don't because it has always installed to all users. I can't even get to the Canon folder from my user name. It says Access is denied.

Just in case that solution doesn't work, try uninstalling the software, and re-install it again
