ntldr is missing

Hello

I am new here and Ihave wuestion about reinstalling  Windows XP Professional. I have a Dimension 2300 computer

that has been wiped clean. I put the reinstall disc in and hit F12 and it went a process of formating the hard drive and  wiping out the partition

then it started the set up. But a ways intot he set up  it gave me a message that it could  not copy a file and did I want to  skip that file, and if I did the os may not work right. I pressed to skip, then the next file it tried to  copy got the same message. Suggested to abort set. up . So I did that . It said to reboot, so I did. But it did not reboot but instead gave me a black screen with an error message NTLDR is missing, Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart.

When I do that it restarts and simply take me back to that same  error. I tried using the F12 again to go to the Recovery page it simply takes me back to the error page each time I click enter.

Can anyone help me  with this,  I don't know alot about computers but I am good at followiing directions.

Thank you

Martey
