parallel installation of OS

I want to do a parallel installation of OS (win 7) as my computer is having problems created by virus.

I have not received any OS disc with the computer. and when I called dell they say they do not provide any OS disc now for Indian customers.

and if I want an OS disc I will have to pay the charges for the OS disc..

Will I be able to do a parallel installation of OS from the recovery disc created by dell datasafe?

Why do you want to have 2 OS the same on one system, when you can press F8 when you see the dell splash screen on bootup, and do a repair to your OS. If that fails, use your disc you created with dell data safe , and reinstall your OS that way. But if your worried about the virus, then go to the Virus section of dell community forums , where you will get help there.

Why don't  you do a backup using the Backup and Restore function in Control Panel of Win7, to put all your data on disc or USB pen before you do a clean install of your OS. Then reinstall your private data when you have finished.
