.pdd-file "open with"
Someone has sent me a .pdd-file.
He mentioned the word "pictures" so I assume that the .pdd-file is in Adobe PhotoShop format.
I do not have Adobe installed -- nor do I really want it.
Is it possible to open a .pdd-file with some other program -- for example, Microsoft Photo Editor, or Microsoft Paint, or Microsoft PictureIt?

Yeah. I did.
It appears as if the .pdd-file is in Adobe PhotoDeluxe format, and that only Adobe PhotoDeluxe will open it.
I found a "HTML Miscellaneous Place" on the Internet, however, that described a procedure for converting the .pdd to .bmp-format, and I may suggest that procedure to the sender if it is absolutely necessary for me to view his image. At the moment, I am awaiting his reply to a question about whatever the image represents.
I thank you for your generic warning about opening unknown files, and will post that warning in the appropriate hemisphere of my cerebral cortex for quick recall.
