See this link if you have Dell Media Center installed.

Just un-installed the Dell Media Experience, rebooted and the settings are retained. Problem solved! Unbelievable! Not only is this a simple fix but it is totally Dell's fault with their choice on including Dell Media Center (a product of little utility.)

Thanks so much for figuring this out and letting us know! (I wish Dell was as helpful...)

Hi, thanks for the help:)-if I uninstall this, will I still be able to play DVDs on my Dell, what is Dell Media Experience? I opened it to see, but I can't tell. Also, why won't the back button work for this forum? It works at other sites, but hangs up when I click it for this forum, I have to keep going right back to the message list, which is a pain!!! Thank you:)

Look for a program on the start menu called "CyberLink PowerDVD". This will play your DVD's. I don't know what "Dell Media Experience" is other then to say it was  a bad experience for me.
