removing a program

Question

There is a program on my pc that I am trying to remove and then reinstall. First I went to add/remove programs and clicked remove there it said 'not found' or something like that. Then I went to my search engine and found the files in both my c disk and secondary external d disk. After deleting them I returned to add/remove programs and it still will not delete or remove that entry in the list of programs. The program in question is cm disk cleaner. The error message I get is could not load initialization file. Message Edited by jimJam1 on 10-01-2006 11:18 AM Hi to all you cyber wizards. jimJam,   Your .ini file was probably removed by you when you manually deleted the files you found.  Have you tried just reinstalling the program without completely removing it?  Many applications will allow this to be done, and others will actually do an uninstall before they load the new program.   Worst case scenario is that it won't allow you to do it.  Best case scenario is that it reloads properly and will then let you do a complete removal from your Add/Remove folder.   flgolfnut
