repair computer not available in advanced options
trying to do a PC restore(factory image) on my dell inspirion desktop but tapping F8 brings me to the advanced options but repair computer is not there........thanks in advance for any help...

Not all systems have this restore feature. What system do you have that you are tring to restore?

There is no Dell Restore on this system. You would need to format and reinstall Windows

thanks jessie, one more question...i have the dell reinstallation CD (windows vista home basic 32bit) but i am not sure if this CD came with this computer or one of our newer computers.......can i use this to reinstall windows even if it the wrong CD...thanks again

Dell reinstall disk will install on any Dell.
