I have tried the following so far, tried to find a copy within dllcache, but cannot find the folder, even after ensuring that i can view hidden files etc. Did search, but
the file is not found in search either. I do not have a copy of the Win XP CD, it came preloaded from Dell. Also had a look at the following which i found
A highly recommended tool is Errorsmart which is available for free athttp://www.SpeedUpMyPc.Info. Before re-installing windows, give Errorsmart a try and check if it is able tofix your rundll32.exe. You will be surprised!
But this is an executable file so not much use. Also tried
Download this Zipped filexp_fileassoc.zip UNZIP it to your desktop and Double click on the xp_fileassoc.bat to run it Follow the prompts
RESTART your computer afterwards
But this just asks me how I want to open the file. So still stuck.
