spam@uce.gov ??

Question

Is this government function still up and running?  Does anyone use it? For a year I've been forwarding my spam to that address (after the properties-details-select all-copy-paste etc. routine) and have not seen any change in the nature or volume of spam I receive.  Makes me wonder if I'm wasting my time!!   Any ideas for me?

Hi Frank, Ditto for me too. There was another e-mail address but it was definitely shut down. I slacked off on most of the sending; obvious scam messages are pretty much the only ones I send these days. Message Edited by rjmat on 12-04-200602:58 PM

Hmmm,  I think I just learned something, rjmat!  After reading your response I did a little reading on the FTC site.  It appears that that email address is intended only for SCAM type spam, not spam in general!!  So I've been wrong in forwarding all my spam (only about two a day).  Glad they didn't come after me for overloading their inbox.   Thanks for your help, it'll save me a lot effort in the future.   Frank

@frankphelps  Yes this email address is still active. Ftc  spam address SPAM@UCE.GOV(link sends e-mail). The old email address (uce@ftc.gov(link sends e-mail)) has been phased out.
