system 32 error message

I don't know whether I am posting this in the right place - I did put a message in printer section, but not sure where to go with this - please advise

I keep having an error message on my pc when I try to install epson printer software to work an old stylus c66. The printer works fine, but I don't get the correct window appear when my cartridges un low (I have to keep connecting the printer to the laptop instead) When trying to reinstall software for my epson I get this message

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32|AUTOEXEC.NT. the system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and micrsoft windows applications. Choose 'close' to terminate the application

I get this message for several other software programs I try to install too.

Can you help?
