Log into safe mode (Start the computer and tap F8 while booting up) and go to the device manager ( control panel / System / Device manager) and roll back the video driver and reboot computer. It should be fine and now do a windows update again and hide the video driver update.

You could  also start the computer and tap the F8 key again. This time choose "Last Known Good Configuration" to see if that will resolve the issue.
