unable to install OS on drives
i had only 2 partitions(local disks).to increase the number of disks , i used 'Disk Management' in Windows 7. i shrinked volumes and now i have 4 partitions.
But i am able to install OS only on disk C . When i choose other disk (D or E or F disk )for installing , an error message is displaying and the whole installation is getting canceled. I am doing this for Dual Booting.
Plsss helppppp

What "error message" is displaying?? How big is the partition you are hoping to install to? Delete the partition and install to the Unpartitioned Space left in its place.

Then your only options is to convert it back to Basic, which will require you to reinstall or restore from backup (there is no safe way to convert back to Basic). Why did you convert it to Dynamic in the first place?

No. It is a one-way ticket; you cannot go back without first formatting the disk. You can google a way to convert it, but it is a hack that is very hit/miss. So, your options are
1) put your data at risk by attempting a conversion hack,
2) backup data, delete partitions/reformat, convert to Basic, reinstall/restore,
3) install Windows 7 in a "virtual machine" inside of your original OS,
4) install to a VHD within your original OS (requires Enterprise or Ultimate), or
5) skip dual-booting altogether.
