version of Java 2 runtime environment
I recently purchased a DIM 4600 with Windows XP. Can anyone tell me what version of Java 2 runtime environment does it come with. I recently changed its version trying to install and fix an older version of matlab.

Windows XP does not include Sun's JRE. The most recent version is jre2 1_4_2_04.

Also since XP no longer come with JAVA you can download FREE SUN JAVA ;
You can get FREE SUN JAVA file about 14.5 MB manual download or use Auto download "Get it here" link.
