vlite/RT-7-Lite: Select the Operating System you want to configure.

Hi

Vlite and RT-7-Lite are useful stools for slipstreaming vista/7.

Now I was wondering can I change what flavour of Windows Vista my slipstreammed Dell disc will install FOR USE ON ANOTHER DELL SYSTEM WITH THE APPROPRIATE COA AND PRODUCT KEY. When using vlite with a Dell OEM Vista Home Basic disc, I get the option to select the different types of versions.

What I am mentioning below I don't actually need this at the moment, I just want to know for future reference so there is no need to tell me to call Dell for ordering new discs etc.

Assume I have a second Dell Computer with Vista Home Premium x86 but I don't have a Dell Vista Home Premium x86 disc but I have a Dell Vista Home Basic x86. Could I in actual fact create a "Dell Vista Home Premium/Business" disc by using vlite set it to Home Premium?

Then use this disc on the Dell system with the Vista Home Premium/Business COA? (and the product key on the COA, so should not be illegal licensing)

Also is the same story possible on Windows 7, using RT-7-Lite. I just wondered if anyone has tried either or and what has happened when they tried to install the OS.

Thanks
