.wim imaging and OS liscensing issues
Hello all.
I am about to get 15 new dell boxes, and would like to manually configure one and then using windowsPE and imagex, and then caputure this generalized referrence computer image. I will then use imagex to deploy this customized image to all the other boxes. I have already do this in a test environment with no issues.
My question is, will there be any issues involved with the OS liscensing etc that i should be made aware of? As it will be 1 one computers image on 15 boxes.

Hi Giermo,
That could be one of the reasons. However, as long as you are purchasing all your systems with a valid license for each machine, there should not be an issue.
Please reply for any clarifications.

Hi Giermo,
You should be able to use the customized image on all the systems, provided all the systems are factory shipped with same operating system and other OEM as well as royalty software.

Okay awesome! Was just concerned, as i have read some users need to then activate windows after applying the image. Must have been single OS and key vs. multi liscence OS as i guess these new 15 boxes will be?
