win xp.. reinstall setup prob...

Question

i did all steps... bios... boot from cd... i press enter to setup win xp.. then i get this win xp setup cannot start.. setup cannot detect a hard drive.. plz check if a hard drive is connected. if u need to install any drivers plz do so.. or use the diagnostics cd provided by the manufacturer... whys this happening.. i did chkdsk f\ also.. ut still same error.. so plz tell need to reinstall win... comp giving major probs..
