windows 2000 snap-in console and disk management
hi
i typed in mmc in the run box to get into the snap-in console on wind 2000 prof. added disk management and disk defragmentation to the console 1. exited , and went to start -programs-administrative tools-and console 1 is there that i added.
i thought that the only way to run disk defragmentation was from a snap-in, but i believe that is not correct. i can click on my computer, open, right click on c drive, click on properties/tools, and i see disk defragmentation there. so i have 2 options for disk defrag-one from the snap-in, and one from my computer. am i correct?

The beauty and mystery of Windows is that there are many ways to accomplish the same task [different (key)strokes for different folks
). Here's a easier way to launch Disk Defragment that includes all the partitions on your hard drive:
Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Defragmenter
