windows\system32\config\system corrupted

My Dell came with the OS installed and Ddell support disk,(this disk contiene your OS preloaded.)

Microsoft web site said the error can be repair with console option if the system is not OEM,

My question is.Are OEM   those system preinstalled with out disk,or are OEM all those systems preinstalled even if they came with those disk from Dell?

Then in order to repair the system file, my option will be to find a full OS windows xp Media Center Edition.2005 with sp2. then thos Dell disk are useless to repair the system, and only serve for full reinstallation of OS,

Any help will be apreciate.

Aby

Before you do anything else, run an extended hard drive test -- the most common cause of this error is a failing hard drive that has developed bad sectors. F12 at powerup.

If the drive fails, replace it.

If it passes, you can use the Dell disc to try a repair - more likely, you will wind up reloading everything from scratch.  The Dell CD CAN be used for repair - not just reinstall -- but the registry is built up over time, and resetting it to original will wipe out all settings added since you received the system.

If you need the CD:
