RDP to port 3389 failed? VNC to port 5900 successful!

RDP to port 3389 failed? VNC to port 5900 successful!

I'm using an HTC Desire. I know it's my knowledge of how all of this works (very little!) so I will just tell you that when I log in using wifi - no problems. When using 3G - black screen on my HTC. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. A little help please! Thanks!!!!!

After I sent the reply I noticed an VNC icon at the bottom of my laptop that was not there before- I believe. (TightVNC configuration) is this what you where looking for? Server, access controll, and admin tabs at the top. Not sure what to do. Thanks!!!!!

No, I do have a + or - for screen size. I see when I log in using 3G on my Desire that my screen saver on my laptop goes away just like it does using wifi (like it should) but all I see when using 3G on the Desire is the pointer from pocketcloud and that's it. Like I say, works great with wifi just not with 3G. Thanks!!! Any idea's?

I did install on desktop using my gmail address and I used autodiscovery.

What OS are you using on PC? Is it Vista or Win 7 Home?
And what VNC server are you using?

If you tap the screen while it is black the screen could be displayed. Can you please tap the screen and let us know the result.

Thanks

On windows home, rdp does not work. So the message port 3389 failed is logical.
On 3g are you connecting using autodiscovery or manual? Please using gmail service on the settings page.
Install pocketcloud on your desktop as well.

Windows 7 home premium on Laptop. TightVNC server. I tapped the screen and tried moving it around to find something-nothing. However, when I select menu on my phone I can get the pointer from pocketclould to come up but it has nothing to point to. Thanks!

Please check 3389,443 and 5222 ports.

Hi, Suchitha
all the ports are working fine but,
I forgot to mention that when i check port 3389 i get message that RDP to 3389 is successful but wheni run a diagnostics tool it says :"You can now connect from Wyse PocketCloud using RDP.
The RDP port is not configured in the firewall. Make sure the RDP port (3389) is not blocked by the firewall." ---> this is when i change VNC port to 5222 or 443

hi,
Are you using real vnc or tight vnc? Try using tight vnc if real vnc is not working well.
I already reproduced an issue with real vnc with multiple connections.
Thank you

unfortunately i'm using tight vnc but will try real maybe it will work
