Please check your start programs menu, you probably have some kind of vnc service installed, Make sure it is running on the bottom tray. If you dont have vnc installed, Please install tight vnc on your pc. we can start with this vnc service. Please Make sureloopback connections are checked.
I don't have any version of VNC Server installed on my PC, shoud I? (I couldn't get RDP to work either - I keep getting a generic failed to connect message)

What VNC Server are you using? If you don't know then see what is listed on your programs menu.
