"authentication failed"

"authentication failed"

I have re-loaded the program on my iPad and on my pc (Windows 7) but I can't connect the two. What can I do?

Are you connecting via RDP or VNC?

Also, what version of Windows 7 are you using?

m.harrison, did you take a look at the knowledge-base topic related to the error? Did the suggestions help?

1. Right click on the "V" icon next to your clock and select "Configuration".
2. Click on the "Set" or "Change" button under "Primary password".
3. Input your desired password and save.
4. Launch PocketCloud on your device.
5. Edit the "Connection Settings".
6. Select "Windows" as the "Operating System".
7. Select "Password" and enter the password you set in step 3.

I am also having the same problem. I downloaded the app on my iPad 2 (ios 5) and then on my pc (Windows 7). I went through the set-up on both with my username and password. It all authenticates correctly and my pc shows up on the ipad app. I click 'connect' and it goes through the loading process and it gives me Error: VNC: authentication failed. I have uninstalled the program on my pc and app on my computer, reloaded and have even erased the connection to the computer through the settings on the app and still not connecting. Not sure what else to do from here...
