Dual monitors and Server configuration

Dual monitors and Server configuration

Hello
We bought several Wyse R10L (Firmware 7.122) from another company. We can establish a remote connection but the device is not configured for dual monitors. It stretches the picture from one monitor to another. From what I have found on the internet I need to configure a DHCP and a FTP Server on Server. On that server the ini File will be installed from which the Wyse device will pull its configuration. The server I want to use has a Windows Server 2012. Can someone please send me a detailed guide for the complete installation and configuration. I don't have much experience with servers and it’s the first time that I am working with a Wyse device. I also want to install additional applications on the Wyse device (Skype, Internet Explorer, Chrome etc.).
Kind regards

We have about between 20 to 30 devices (R10L, V10L and C10LE). How much will Software Maintenance Contract all together cost? Can we for test purposes buy a Software Maintenance Contract for only one device. Since our company is located in Switzerland can someone please send me the local contact number.

I can not find the firmware 8.0_508 on https://support.wyse.com. Where do I get the firmware 8.0_508 for the Wyse D10DP?

You may want to upgrade the firmware. Current version is 8.0_508

I connected the Wyse device with the ftp server. I can see that the Global INI is showing the wnos.ini file from the ftp server. On the wnos.ini I defined the multimonitor setup for RDP but its not showing what I wanted. The RDP is opening on one monitor but I need it to open on two monitors without the picture being stretched across the second monitor. An error is showing on the Event log:
drive.google.com/.../0B30...ew
drive.google.com/.../0B30...ew
and the ini file:
drive.google.com/.../0B30...ew

As an example the file server path is: 111.111.11.11/WYSE
The firmware version is 7.1_122.
I would appreciate any help

The firmware upgrade requires a Software maintenance Contract. Contact our Inside Sales department at 1-800-800-9973 for details and pricing.

Ivica1987,
For Dual Monitor support, please review the articles available on our knowledge base at www.wyse.com/manuals and search for "dual monitor" and you will get the requirements and instructions.
WTOS is a closed operating system and you cannot install any software on them. You will need to install the software on the file server.

Take a look at this MS patch KB2984972. If your Remote Desktop Session Host has this patch it may cause the issue you are describing.
