Dear Team

I manged to resolve the issue at hand. It turns out that the original SATA HDD was replaced wtih SATA SSD witch in turn caused the problem with commuter waking up from sleep mode (we still dont know why this is the case). Once we returned the old SATA drive everything worked like it is should.

Happy holidays.

Always mention version of Windows in your posts.

How did you install the OS on the new SSD? Did you clone the old HDD or do a clean install?

If you did a clean install, it's possible the Additional options in the active Power plan for hibernation, hybrid sleep, and USB Selective Suspend are set differently in the OS installed on the SSD vs on the HDD. You want those items disabled.

Then check in Device Manager under both USB and Human Interface Devices (HID) to make sure the box "Allow PC to turn off..." is not checked on the Power Management tab for all USB root hubs and for all HID entries that have a Power Management tab. Then reboot...

And for future reference, the Precision Workstation forum is here.
