Or it could mean that your Coin-Cell (CMOS) battery is failing and needs to be replaced. See the procedure in the service manual: https://downloads.dell.com/manuals/all-products/esuprt_desktop/esuprt_studio_xps_desktop/studio-xps-8100_service%20manual_en-us.pdf

It could mean your hard drive is failing or about to fail. Run the hard drive diagnostics.
Backup the drive and make copies of all your personal files asap.

Could it be that your cd/dvd or another drive is connected to port 0 and it is the first boot device?

replace a new battery and no help. Same problem. Thanks Henry

Did the test and found the following fail:

Test results indicate hard drive failure as Mary G mentioned. Backup your data and replace your hard drive.

FYI: just replace new hard drive and everything back to normal. Thanks for your help. Henry
