XPS 8700, Upgrades worked

This is just an FYI for those with an older 8700. Documentation to what I've done that works.

Video: MSI GTX 1660 6GB DDR5

Network: Intel with AC protocol and BT 4.2

Network: PCIe Wifi6 adapter with AX protocol and BT 5.0

Ram: 32GB, is max for MB

SSD: Evo 1TB

HDD: 2- 4TB

OS: Win 10 Pro

Cables: All Audioquest Cinnamon series. HDMI, RJ45

PSU: Stock 460W

Add On items:

USB Hub extender, Nighthawk RAX 80, Netgear CM1000, AirTV, Shield, Yeti,

I'm extremely happy with the 3.6GHZ still after 5 years but looking at the i9 4.6 turbos to 5Ghz in the NEW XPS Special Edition.

Hi,

I too upgraded my XPS 8700 SE with much the same as you did, however I added:

EVGA 750 Watt GQ 80+ Gold PSU

GIGABYTE-GTX1660Ti OC 6GB GPU (a bit tight in there but fits ok)

Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB (4x8GB) DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3 12800)1.5V,Black

I'm still loving my system!  Hope you are still enjoying your DELL as I am mine.
