XPS 8930 SE, Plastic Case?
So, the XPS 8930 SE clearly appears as and says that its aluminum when viewing from XPS page. However, in the cart it appears almost black plastic like the regular XPS. What gives? I received it today and its clearly plastic. Im curious as to whether this is intentional, and whether the sales reps on the phone are offering a lower price (incentive to buy) by changing out the aluminum body for the inferior plastic and unbeknownst to you until you receive the item. You think your getting an XPS Special Edition for a better price like the phone rep says but really its not a better price and you don't know until you get it. Any experiences or similar issues? Really unbelievable if this was intentional or is not resolved.

The statement on the sales site clearly states "anodized aluminum finish" - which is what it is, and just as most of the trim on your car, the base material is plastic.
ALL of these have plastic cases - black for the normal version, aluminum finished on the SE.
You can find systems built with aluminum cases -- but the better aluminum cases cost a couple of hundred dollars, and that's without anything inside. You won't find anything in the price class of the XPS with an aluminum chassis.
