XPS 8930 SE, SI 3132 raid controller, not recognized
The SI 3132 card worked in Dell XPS 8300 without any problems. The XPS 8930 SE will not recognize SI 3132 raid controller on PCIe x1 or x4 slots. Just purchased this XPS 8930 SE on 5/18/2019. Dell support advised that I should buy a new PCIe port multiplier card. Has anyone run into this problem with the new XPS 8930 SE?

Did you install the driver for that card?
Is that driver compatible with Win 10?
Does the manufacturer have an updated driver?
And just a wild guess, try disabling Secure Boot in BIOS setup...

Yes,
I tried all of the above. I even had the manufacture send me the updated drivers. My drivers had windows Vista because it was a vista machine I first installed it in. I migrated it to a windows 7 XPS 8300. The drivers that the company sent me are listed as Windows 7 64 bit. I loaded them and it still did not work. I took the card out to check it again and put it in a windows 10 64 bit XPS 430 and it worked without any problems. I am getting a Code 10 device cannot start. Does not look like the PCIx1 and PCIx4 slots on the XPS 8930 are backward compatible.

Or it's just the card not compatible with the latest PCs...
If it was originally designed for Vista, then not surprising it doesn't work on the latest Win 10 systems, even if it runs on an old PC running Win 10.
Guess it's time for a newer card...

The card works in a XPS 430 running Windows 10 and It also works in a XPS 8300 that was running windows 7 and then upgraded to windows 10 and the card worked in both Win 7 and Win 10 on the XPS 8300. It is not the windows version. It is the PCIe bus on the XPS 8930. Dell needs to look into this.
