XPS 8940, best GPU upgrade?
Now that GPU prices have somewhat come down, I am looking to finally get a GPU for my Dell XPS Tower (10th gen Intel i3 - 10100 @ 3.60 GHz / 4-core, 6M cache / 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD) which I did not obtain initially.
I have the 360W PSU (proprietary, non-upgradable) from Dell with no PCIe power connector. Which card would be a direct "plug and plug" and would be able to be within the 360W from the power supply? I've been looking at the GTX 1660 - not overclocked or anything. I would spend a bit more, but since I can't really upgrade the PSU I would like to stay within the limitations and not run too hot.
Mostly playing games like Warzone, Rocket League, Overwatch or things like that. Nothing too demanding like Flight Simulator or anything like that.
For example I see a PNY1650 for $210 right now and just curious if that's the highest I can go with my setup.
I also realize I should probably upgrade the ram to at least 16GB and possibly a SSD for games like Warzone, etc.
Any suggestions/recommendations?

online basic calculator says 360w sufficient for 1660 which has higher TDP than 1650 Super. you should be fine w the 360w. the 360w psu can support 1660Ti too. The black 6 pin PCIe connector of Dell is effectively 8 pin (3x12V wired) and can be converted to 8 pin connector via a simple straight 6 to 8 pin adapter.

it is possible to upgrade to Dell 460w or 500w psu (all having two 6 pins) to have 2 PCIe connector for gpu.
360w psu has one PCIe connector which is still good for many gaming gpu.
1650 Super is 40% faster than 1650 and still supported by 360w psu.

If you use an efficient 50W card you do not need to update power supply.
This card is better than GT1650.

Thank you. Do you know of the 1650 Super can be used without upgrading the PSU? I was hoping to find a card that's decent that falls within the 360W, since really I want to just upgrade the SSD, RAM, and GPU without having to fully overhaul the entire 8940.

Excellent. I may go with that one then. I am hoping I do not need an adaptor as I'm looking for essentially a "plug and play" GPU.
