Yes. All the memory shipped with the 8950 is 4800MHz, but like you pointed out, it will only run at 3600MHz when using four 32Gb sticks. I would consider getting the RAM from Crucial.

@jozmedia The information you are looking for is in the Setup and Specifications: https://dl.dell.com/content/manual28912288-xps-8950-setup-and-specifications.pdf?language=en-us&ps=true

@jozmedia I am happy you got that configuration to work. That configuration is not listed in the Setup and Specifications so it is most likely not a Dell tested configuration.

Thank you. I squeezed in 64GB + 32GB for a total of 96GB Ram.

Appreciate your advice.

What memory brand and spec did you end up using?

Hi, yes, it works. Albeit you need to plug the memory modules in a peculiar order, I forgot which way, but it's not the usual paired configuration.

Which is correct, the PDF you pointed us or the description on the website?

Try changing the language from the pull-down menu, Print, PDF, and "English" on this page. (not the menu at the top of the page)

https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/en-us/xps-8950-desktop/xps-8950-setup-and-specifications/memory?guid=guid-e9d2ea83-38a4-431d-803c-96d63c1dbc34&lang= en-us

I haven't checked all of them, but the non-English pages and PDFs have an XPS8950 with memory running at 4800MHz.

Is this just a mistake on the Dell site?
